Description:

As an Embroidery Operator, this role is responsible for operating a computerized 1-6 heads Embroidery machine to process customer requested specialty orders including uniforms, special event apparel, caps, etc.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Efficient and safe operation of multi-head embroidery machinery; consistently meets goals
  • Maintains understanding of the operating procedure in the department
  • Enter thread colors into the machine, double check garment, count and style are accurate.
  • Handles the proper placement of design, hooping and thread colors.
  • Retrieve designs from the computer and enter it into the embroidery machine.
  • Performs quality production at reasonable speeds, taking full advantage of the equipment available
  • Ensures that targets are met for quality, productivity, and lead time with minimal misprints

Description:

This position is responsible for trimming the backing and loose stitches on our finished embroidery products. To ensure that embroidery quality standards are met and that each order is accounted for and moved to its correct location.

  • Will use scissors and tweezers to ensure all unnecessary thread and material is removed from the garment
  • Inspects all product for damages.
  • Log all worked performed into our database using a computer.
  • Work area and department cleaning, including sweeping, organization and rearrangement based on company need.

Second Shift Assistant Production Manager

Reports To:

Sr. Director, Production & Facilities

Description:

This position is a salaried full-time 40 hours per week with mandatory additional hours during the fourth quarter including weekends each year.

This position is responsible for developing and monitoring department work-flow and is responsible for ensuring that standard work practices (Task logs and product notes) are followed and updated regularly. Monitor employee's individual productivity, and report any conduct related issues to your manager. Assist with scheduling staff. All production personnel are to report to this person for daily needs. This person is responsible to protect company assets and close the building.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Develop Standard Work for Production

  • Document standard work process for production.
  • Ensure that new employees are trained to correctly perform necessary jobs as assigned.
  • Ensure that existing employees are following standard work.
  • Assist Director of production to staff for peak seasons accordingly.

Oversee Production Quality and Continuous Improvement

  • Train, coach, and follow up on company quality expectations.
  • Set Department and Individual Quality Goals.
  • Encourage employee growth, understanding and accountability in all areas.
  • Perform Quality Control checks on outgoing Replacement Orders.
  • Ensure that staff is retrained as needed based on quality audit results.

Follow up on Priority Orders and Redos

  • Address any replacement orders requiring attention and update sales/customer service. Ensure all orders marked "MBO" are addressed and completed that day.
  • Ensure that late, replacement and Event Driven orders are prioritized within production.
  • Work with other supervisors to ensure split and partial orders are Located and produced prior to ship date.

Manage and Maintain Staff

  • Administer 1:1 employee meetings, document conversations.
  • Communicate with employees often and directly, promoting accountability and positive attitude.
  • Ensure staff scheduling is appropriate for current work load and seasonality.
  • Work with other supervisors to ensure positive staff morale and culture.
  • Monitor and Administer disciplinary action in accordance with company policies.
  • Assist with completion of employee reviews and other related documents.
  • Ensure all breaks are being followed.

Building Maintenance and Security

  • Ensure building is secure during operating hours, and that the building is properly alarmed at the end of the shift.
  • Ensure equipment issues are reported properly, and that equipment is powered off at the end of the work day.
  • Clean, organize and assist with any other specially assigned management projects. This may include occasional contact with a third party.
  • Understand, and exercise when needed, fire and medical emergency protocols according to company training and policies.
